2022.01.22 00:04 Snezzy_Anus Thoughts on the game
Ok so tbf I’ve only played like 5 games, online (offline to get my ops back) and so far It actually is really fun, aside from the shitty randoms who didn’t do the tutorial and don’t know how to play, which I hope will get better the further I play. I am really enjoying it, definitely would be better with friends, idc about the studies, some of the ops seems really useless like hibana. Although I don’t know how to get health back on an op after a mission as I can’t play vigil bc of it, and the running animation looks off, and I don’t know how useful the actual abilities are as They don’t seem to impact the gameplay a whole ton, I don’t see the use for them as I generally just stick to my gun and stealth.
What are your thoughts on extraction

2022.01.22 00:04 DefinitelyNot17 I feel like an NPC
I recently started attending college again for my sophomore year after winter break. For the past two years due to the pandemic, I’ve lost contact with a lot of my friends. It used to be the case that I would make new friends easily, I moved around a lot as a kid and as a result of that became fairly sociable. But these days I spend most of my time in class, at work, or at the gym. I live quietly, unseen, unheard and unknown. I don’t even have a roommate. I’ve never felt so lonely, and everyday that goes by I get increasingly isolated. I used to spend my days riding bikes with my friends and hanging out at restaurants after school. Now it’s been almost a year since I had a one to one informal conversation. I go weeks without even speaking. I never thought it’d be the case that I spent the first year of my 20’s indoors, my life feels so meaningless. The days turn into weeks and meld into months. Some times I dream about laughing with my old friends. I can’t believe what has become of my life.

2022.01.22 00:04 Squirrel_Dull Not even trolling
But for real why is it always raiders players that get caught driving so fucking fast? Like Nate Hobbs and ruggs ofc. Maybe the media just publicizes those more or something. I am genuinely curious why it always seems to be a raiders player

2022.01.22 00:04 Maleegee [BATTLE] The Pomeranian War | January - September 1510
The Stettin Affair Stettin, May 1510 The Danish army filtering into Stettin consisted of largely German mercenaries, but also contained large numbers of Danes, Swedes, Holsteiners, and Norwegians. Starting in May, groups were deposited in the city by the Danish fleet. After finishing their transport duties, the fleet departed, following the narrow navigation channels of the Oder, through the Stettin Lagoon, and out the Swina River into the Baltic. The Brandenburger Army sat in the grounds of the Ducal Castle. The Danes, in the fields just north of the city. Soon, they would be ready to march across the bridge over the Oder, and march on the Young Griffin.
But then, ships were spotted coming up the Oder.
boom boom boom
What? Was this more Danes?
boom boom boom
Who was arriving?
boom boom boom
"CAM ON INGERLAND"
The English expedition was an eclectic group of soldiers, headed by the self-proclaimed grain magnate of Chelmsford, a man by the name of Thomas Bluefield. Picking up mercenaries along the Frisian and Jutland coasts, the mercenary band consisted of Danes, Frisians, Dutchmen, English, and Saxons.
Arriving in Stettin, Bluefield was surprised to find that the Brandenburgers were none too pleased to see them. Not wanting the English to cause problems, Hans Knoblauch was rather hesitant about allowing them into the city. Telling them to wait in their ships, he diverted his attention to organising his own forces, and ensuring that the Danish Army would be ready to move.
After reviewing his soldiers, and overseeing the Landsknecht the Danes had mustered partake in the Bestallungsbrief - and their oaths to the cause, their officers, and the Emperor. After watching the Danes pay the first month’s salary to the men, Knoblauch retired to the Ducal Castle, to inspect his own soldiers - prepared after several months of drilling - and get ready to muster in the coming days. After returning to his quarters, he laid his head down to rest.
Then, all hell broke loose.
From the docks, bells began to sound. Leaping from his bed, he ran to the walls, where guards were pointing to the market square. Fires had broken out, and there was slaughter in town! Enemies were upon Stettin! Racing back to his quarters, he donned what clothes he could, and strapped his sword around his belt, before racing down to meet his men as they mustered. Knoblauch was distraught to find fighting in the castle grounds as he descended into them. Finding one of his officers, he inquired as to what precisely was happening. The officer, dazed, confused, and bleeding profusely from the head, informed him that assailants had stormed the city, and many of the men the Regent had pardoned have now turned on him. Knoblauch knew he had to do something to return order to the city. Gathering some trusted swordsmen, he made a rush to the northern gates, to muster the Danes and drive out the traitors and rebels, and restore order to the city.
Running through the town, Knoblauch found himself among a great scene of death, destruction, and blatant pilfery. Reaching the northern gatehouse, he found a crowd of terrified citizens, attempting to force their way into the gatehouse - as some semblance of security. After being identified by the gatehouse, and permitted entry, he took control of the men there, and ordered the gates opened - both to allow the Danes in, and the civilians out.
Upon opening the gates, thousands of Landsknecht poured into the city, and began slaughtering all who stood in their way. Knoblauch shouted at the Danish officers, who struggled to control the German mercenaries. This isn’t what was supposed to happen at all!
Regardless, the Landsknecht too took their turn pilfering what they could, but in the end, the Danes managed to control them, mustering cavalry to bring the situation under control by dawn. Returning to the castle, Knoblauch found that most of his army had either been slaughtered, or disappeared into the city. The city itself was in ruins - with fires still raging throughout large portions of it. He began to question who he could, to figure out what the hell had actually occurred.
Knoblauch was distraught to find that the city wasn’t attacked by Pomeranians at all. It was the English who did this. Some of his guards brought him men who were stationed at the gatehouse near the docks, in chains. He learned that these men had been bribed by the English to gain entrance into the city, and the English had immediately started sacking the town. After the Danes began to enter the city, the English fled, unaware of how large the Danish army actually was. Loading what they could into their ships, they took off into the channel. One of the ships had veered off the course from the navigable channels in the Stettin Lagoon, and ran aground.
Arriving at Swinemünde, Thomas Bluefield saw another opportunity for yet more loot, and disembarked his soldiers. Swinemünde was an important stop for vessels heading for Stettin. Ships would often unload cargo there, and then transit the shallow and hazardous Stettin Lagoon. As such, a great deal of goods were surely in the port. Appearing suddenly, the inhabitants of the town had no reason to expect assailants from the south, and quickly succumbed to the greedy Englishmen.
It was at this point that Bluefield became nervous. He had now sacked two towns in Pomerania, and knew that the Danes would surely be looking for him. Within hours, Danish galleys would be spotted, scouring the coast for him. They had to leave, and they had to leave quickly. If they couldn’t beat the Danish fleet to the Sound, then there would be no way to escape.
Thankfully, his cogs were fast. He was also thankful for the Danish guards at Helsingborg being incredibly bored. Unwilling to search his ship, he was able to pay a greatly reduced Sound Toll, and disappear into the Skagerak. Rounding Jutland, Bluefield gave a sigh of relief, and set course for Frisia, where the mercenaries would be offloaded and paid off before returning to London.
He had done it.
East Pomeranian Campaign Battle of Lauenburg, June-September 1510 The Brandenburger army was in shambles. Hundreds had been slaughtered, and hundreds more scattered into the wind. The only troops left fit for combat were a handful of mercenaries. Staying in Stettin to restore order, the Danes, after chasing the last of the English out of Pomerania, began their campaign. Meeting a rebel force at Belgard, the Danes quickly dispatched them, and gave chase all the way to Köslin, then Stolp, and finally Lebork/Lauenburg, where the Young Griffin made an appearance with the bulk of his forces.
After being thoroughly beaten by the Danes, Georg von Greifen beat a hasty retreat to the east, where the Danes dare not follow, for that lead into the lands of Royal Prussia, a realm of the Kingdom of Poland.
Casualties include both Stettin incident casualties (mutineers, casualties from looting, etc) as well as Pomeranian Campaign.
Casualties here include foreign mercenaries returning home before reaching London. The forces you sent, minus these casualties, are the forces returning to London.

2022.01.22 00:04 antipinkkitten Why does my pup need to smell everything like a coke addict?
As stated above - Mucca feels the need to put her entire body into smelling something. We’ll go outside and she’ll throw just her face on the ground and let her lip flaps flutter as she aggressively smells the ground.
Is this just a hound dog thing? Will she forever do this? Will she continue to be a bit stinky due to her excessive want to rub on all of items?
She’s cute, but she looks like an 80’s stock broker at a night club.

2022.01.22 00:04 icyfloydian Thoughts on Swisse?
I recently came across Swisse Collagen Powder and was wondering if I should try it. I already use an Indian brand which is too expensive for my taste. Swisse products seem affordable. I read a few months ago about protein, collagen powders being tested and failing for heavy metals. Does anyone happen to know the heavy metal test for their college powder? Any reviews on their brand would be appreciated, thank you :))

2022.01.22 00:04 Affectionate_Ask_244 Summer Position Offers JP Morgan Delaware (back office) vs Middle Market Firm on Wall Street (front office) help!
I want to work in front office.
I can either do The corporate analyst development program at JP this summer, or an equities rotational program at a middle market firm.
The corporate analyst development program is a rotation between - business analytics, process enhancement, and project management.
The Middle market firm program is a rotation between sales and trading, options, and equity research.
The middle market bank is a commission shop ***
Again, I want to work in front office especially sales and trading when I graduate.
I am a junior in college and wondering which career path is better for me. Any advice would be great because I’m greatly conflicted about this. I am leaning towards the middle market firm because it’s front office but the JP Morgan offer seems incredible. I would love if you guys could give me your insight! Thank you
